Questions about Sites

Do I need hosting or a developer?

No. Cove hosts the site. Publish it from your brand’s Site tab and it’s live straight away. Unpublish any time; nothing is deleted.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, a subdomain such as help.yourcompany.com, on Growth, Team and Business and during the free trial. Root domains such as yourcompany.com aren’t supported.

Will search engines find it?

Yes. Every published article on the site can be indexed, using its title and search description. Drafts and articles in review are never shown.

Can visitors contact us from the site?

Yes. Choose one of your widgets to appear on every page, so visitors can search further or start a conversation that lands in your inbox.

Can I publish our updates there too?

Yes. Turn on the public page in Updates settings and your release notes get a What’s new page on the site, with an Updates link in the header and a page for every update.

Can I remove the “Powered by Cove” footer?

Yes, on the Business plan.
